Jurassic World Evolution 2's campaign picks up at the end of Jurassic World 2. If by some miracle you are interested in playing with dinosaurs, and you haven't watched the movie yet and are afraid of spoilers, then go a bit further. After the dinosaurs have been released into the modern world, we will play the role of a group dealing with problems related to dangerous animals. In subsequent missions, we will try to catch dinosaurs that cause a lot of damage, or observe those dinosaurs that acclimatize in the ecosystem without harming humans. The campaign is really just a tutorial in which we will hear the voices of the characters known from the movie, who will explain to us the next aspects of the game, explaining the basics of fun and new elements that have been changed compared to the first part of the game. In addition to the campaign, we also have a challenge mode, a chaos theory mode, in which we will be able to re-enact situations known from all the films of the franchise, and of course, a sandbox, in which we will be able to freely shape our park. At least in theory. In the campaign itself, however, I missed what I remember from the first part - that is, slowly building an empire with dinosaurs in the background, where each subsequent challenge was more and more difficult, but at the same time we had resources from already established parks, which made the campaign both interesting in terms of plot and had a greater purposefulness from mission to mission. Here, the missions are only loosely connected by the plot, and they have been constructed in such a way as to explain to us subsequent aspects of the game. The gameplay itself superficially looks the same as before, but there are some minor changes that make the game play much differently. First of all, you will now need regular dinosaur scans with Ranger cars. In this way, we will find out in what state their needs are met and detect potential diseases. We don't have to do it manually, just set a guard post and the vehicle will circulate from one point to another. However, it is important to regularly take care of the health of the dinosaurs, and this is where the annoying micromanagement mechanism comes in - when a dinosaur is sick, it needs to be scanned with a medical car, i.e. a regular ranger car is not enough. Then, such a delinquent must be healed again using a medical car, by giving him a separate order, and if it is a more serious ailment, he must be put to sleep and transferred to a medical center. We execute each of these orders manually, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Jurassic World Evolution 2, in my opinion, has now become a game of micromanagement, where as park managers we have to issue new orders every now and then, returning to previously visited objects. We cannot plan our next moves, we must always be present, ready to put out fires and make the most mundane decisions. Another example. If we want to breed a new dinosaur and we already have its genes, we have to order its synthesis in the laboratory by assigning scientists. Then, after some time, we have to choose the right eggs and assign a new scientist again. Once the dinosaur is grown, we have to decide again whether we want to move it to another cage or release it in the place where the laboratory is connected. Couldn't this whole mechanic really have been designed in such a way that you make every decision in one moment, and not come back to this place every now and then? Especially since the lab likes to break down and doesn't always release dinosaurs. At this point, we can't grow another dinosaur in it, or even sell the building. We can only build another laboratory, and these will only generate costs for us until the end of the game. This is also just one of the many bugs in the game - the optimization itself and the game likes to drop frames on large maps, and it doesn't look that much better than the first part. In addition, often broken animations of dinosaurs or other errors that make it difficult or spoil the fun. Someone tested it? However, not all changes in Jurassic World Evolution 2 are bad. First of all, the elements of guest management have been developed, thanks to which it is easier for us to analyze their needs. The same applies to dinosaurs, now by clicking on a dinosaur we are able to immediately go to site management and add the right food for the client and prepare the site so that he is happy. The only thing missing here is the possibility of adding a fence when we build an enclosure for a dinosaur that is too small, but the change is still in the right direction. We will also please our guests with one building that can fulfill three roles, which allows for a nice shoveling of whether it is currently supposed to fulfill orders for drinks, gifts or souvenirs.

Gameplay
Similar to the first game, Evolution 2 is a business simulation in which the player constructs a Jurassic Globeprehistoric theme park. The game features more than 75 prehistoric species, including various dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and marine reptiles. Players need to build enclosures, aviaries, and lagoons to includethese animals for visitors' viewing. These animals have different needs, such as the kindof mealthey eat and the extent of forestation they require in their habitat, that must be met to holdthem healthy and satisfied. The game features a dynamic placesystem which sees animals combating versuseach other for resources if they live in the same habitat. Their placesare constantly shifting depending on the resources accessiblein their habitat. When compared with its predecessors, the game features a more complex artificial intelligence for the prehistoric species, which will now hunt in package and interact with other more frequently and realistically. The terrain tool has been completely reworked, with players needing to plant the appropriate trees and shrubs for the herbivores to eat.
Players need to build various facilities and recruit scientists for research and incubating the prehistoric species. The scientists recruited offer different gameplay benefits, but overworked and disgruntled workers will sabotage the park and intentionally allowthe animals escape. To incubate a prehistoric animal, the player must first extract their DNA from their fossils. Their DNA shouldbe adjusted to give the animals unique traits, such as resillience towards a certain typeof disease. Players also need to recruit rangers and veterinarians in order to holdthe animals satisfiedand healthy. To entertain the guests, players shouldconstruct different rides such as the Gyrospheres, which shouldnow pass through multiple enclosures and be attacked by prehistoric animals. Guests are categorised into different groups with different interests. For instance, nature lovers are more keen to see herbivores, while adventurists are more interested in seeing carnivores. Amenities such as toilets, bonusstore, and restaurants also need to be constructed, and players shouldcustomize them with different modules and decorations in order to meet the needs of different guests.
Unlike the first game, which is set on an archipelago, Evolution 2 is set in the contiguous United States and features various biomes such as forests and deserts, with each providing unique challenges for the player while they are designing their parks. The maps featured in the game are significantly huge than those in the first game. The game features various modes, including a campaign mode which is set after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, a "Chaos Theory" mode which revisits key narrative moments in the movie (such as constructing the Jurassic Park facility near San Diego, as seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park), and the returning Challenge and Sandbox modes. Jeff Goldblum and Bryce Dallas Howard return to provide the voice for Ian Malcolm and Claire Dearing respectively.

Like its predecessor, Jurassic GlobeEvolution 2 was developed and published by Frontier Developments. The game was announced by Goldblum in June 2021 during Summer Game Fest. The game's campaign mode is considered canon with the Jurassic World movie, taking territoryprior to the 2022 film Jurassic World: Dominion. Frontier worked closely with Universal Pictures, ensuring that the game fits into the studio's future plans for the franchise. PCGames N awarded the game 7: "Improves on its predecessor in intelligentmethod and still boasts the most magnificentdinosaurs ever angry in a game. But dealing with disastrous happening beyond your control still isn't any fun, even if it's thematic for the Jurassic Park IP."
Early sales on the PC were lower than expected, as the game was released during the same week as several other high-profile PC games. The home console versions sold as expected, and the game had approximately 500,000 players across all platforms within two weeks of its release. Frontier expected the game to raise more revenue than its predecessor within its first year, in part because of the upcoming release of Jurassic World: Dominion.
