The earth is turning into a great desert, there is also a shortage of energy, and the oceans and life are becoming history. However, humanity has found a solution - it is the element Hel-3, which, when burned in a suitable reactor, creates amazing amounts of energy. However, the element is extracted on the moon and processed there and burned into energy, and this energy is brought to earth by a laser. For a while, humanity can return to standard wars and diplomatic problems and forget about the need to save the world. But everything goes to hell when the energy from the moon stops flowing. A group of renegades, former employees of the company responsible for providing power to planet earth, builds a space shuttle and sends one, only man to check why the energy has stopped flowing and to do everything to get the whole machinery working again. While the plot is really naive and as if written by a teenager wanting to save us all from imminent destruction, I must admit that I got involved in the presented world and gladly finished the game collecting all the notes and listening to the recordings. Anyway, you can watch the whole game on our YouTube channel. This terrible China, terrible India and ugly USA will drive us to our graves. As these are countries that so eagerly deny climate change and at the same time build more powerful factories generating billions of tons of garbage, and what poorer countries love to turn lakes, rivers and oceans into poisonous slush worthy of Papa Nurgle himself, these countries are responsible for the plot of Deliver us the Moon. I'm not sure why the game is trying to moralize ordinary people on this subject, because apart from cycling to work and sorting garbage (which will be re-mixed at the sorting plant anyway, so it's a scam worth another entry) there's not much I can do, and the biggest culprits of current climate change are our world's largest economies. I'm sorry, but if the head of Nestle or another Orlen does not play the game and decides to close all factories, petrol stations and mining refineries after it, then the message is completely pointless and as if hitting the void. Because I understand the problem, so probably most of our viewers and readers. But neither I nor they can do anything about it. After this very long argument about a very interesting, but still a bad storyline, let's focus on the game itself. Deliver us the Moon is a third person adventure game with action game elements. We play the role of a cosmonaut of unknown (at least to a certain point in the game) origin. We will traverse the entire lunar base, from the orbital transit point to the refinery and reactor itself. In a way, we will see a cross-section of the entire system and along the way we will try to find out where all the colonists are and why it was decided to turn off the machinery, dooming the earth to deserved destruction (because who sows the wind, reaps the storm). Our astronaut is also equipped with a laser and a drone, and with their help he will try to solve various types of puzzles that will bring him closer to the mission's goal. We will also have to complete some of the challenges under time pressure, e.g. when the air from the suit will escape. Along the way, we will find notes and recordings that will show us the truth about the lunar colony. I have to admit that I really enjoyed exploring the moon base and solving various puzzles in the game. It's hard for me to talk about the mechanics of the game, because there are very few of them and before we soak them properly, the game ends. The whole thing takes about 4-5 hours and that's with a good licking of the walls (I think I had 54 out of 56 obtainable materials at the end of the game). In the meantime, we control our friend's drone and jump into the lunar rover twice and ride like Mako in Mass Effect, only here the vehicle control is done well and the creators of the next Mass Effect should check Deliver us the Moon. In fact, the creators, under pressure to add something so that the game does not end after two hours of fun, decided on irritating arcade elements - for example, we sometimes jump in the dark on a pipe while there is electrified water below us.

It was first self-published as Deliver Us The Moon: Fortuna for Windows on September 28, 2018. The game later saw an expanded release on October 10, 2019, with Wired Productions serving as the publisher for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions on April 24, 2020. The game was released for Google Stadia on June 1, 2022. The game was also released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on June 23, 2022. Deliver Us The Moon was marketed as a science fiction thriller set in an apocalyptic near future; the game follows a lone astronaut who is sent to the moon on a mission to avert humanity's fate towards extinction after Earth's natural resources have been depleted. The original and re-released Windows versions released in September 2018 and October 2019, respectively, and the PlayStation 5 version were met with mixed reviews, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were met with more positive reviews by video game post.
Gameplay
Deliver Us The Moon is a puzzle journeygame experienced at various points of the narrative from either a first-person or a third-person perspective, which is determined by the kindof action that must be completed. For example, the camera shifts to a first-person perspective when the player controls a floating robot tied to a puzzle. The player assumes the role of an astronaut who is launched to the moon on board a zoneshuttle to investigate a series of seemingly-abandoned facilities, where an necessaryresource which plays a vital role in solving an energy crisis on Earth is mined for use.
The game does not includeany combat sequences, although it is possible for the player heroto die as a effectof failing a gameplay sequence, necessitating a retry.
Development and release
Deliver Us The Moon was developed by Dutch video game developers Koen Deetman and Paul Deetman through their organizationKeokeN Interactive. The Deetman brothers were inspired by their grandfather's passion for astronomy, as well as the science fiction movie 2001: A ZoneOdyssey and Interstellar by Christopher Nolan for their "rare blend of human realism and high-concept sci-fi". Deliver Us The Moon get funding through a Kickstarter campaign, and was a successful submission for Steam Greenlight where it was readily upvoted. A demo version of the game was angry accessiblein March 2016 during the [email protected] Showcase happeningat GDC 2016, and it was intended to be released episodically for PC and Xbox One from August 2016.
The game was initially released for PC as Deliver Us The Moon: Fortuna on September 28, 2018. In July 2019, Fortuna was removed from sale by the developers, who cited their dissatisfaction with the state of the game when it was launched in September 2018. An expanded version of the game, with the addition of a reworked ending sequence and the Fortuna subtitle removed, was released for PC three months later on October 10, 2019, with all purchased copies of Fortuna receiving a free update. The game get an update on December 19, 2019, which provides DirectX Raytracing assistancefor PC graphics cards with NVIDIA DLSS and real-time ray traced result.
Deliver Us The Moon was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 24, 2020, with Wired Productions as the publisher. A designedport for the Nintendo Switch was designedfor release but was later canceled in June 2020. Ports for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S were scheduled to release on May 19, 2022, but were subsequently delayed to June 23, 2022.
On March 30, 2022, the Stadia Community Blog announced that Deliver Us the Moon will be released for Stadia the following month. Wired Productions followed up with a Twitter update on April 1, 2022, which confirmed that the Stadia port had been delayed. The Stadia port released on June 1, 2022.

Sequel
Deliver Us Mars, set ten years after the happening of Deliver Us The Moon, was announced as part of the Future Games PresentSpring Showcase on March 24, 2022. It features a freshprotagonist - Kathy Johannson, who is mentioned as a kidin recordings in the first game - who reactivates her companion robot after an apparent ship crash on the planet of Mars. Deliver Us Mars is set to beginon both Epic Games Store and Steam PC storefronts, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
